Tony Di Jerlando looks like a prize fighter,

but the prize you get with him is his voice,

his marvelous ability to sing and entertain!

Tony was born in California,

moved to New Jersey briefly,

and then back to the Golden State,

where he has been ever since.

He was a big part of the music scene in LA in the sixties.

 

Tony had a contract with Capital Records by the time he was 14 years old, and by the same management team as that great group Dino, Desi and Billy.  

He was entertaining at all the major entertainment venues around LA and the Valley area,

like the Whiskey A Go Go,

Ye Little Club and Sportsmen Lodge.

This was the time of The Doors, Johnny Rivers,

Janis Joplin, where Tony was playing in the same clubs and partying with them.  

Tony was Dean Martin's mother favorite

singer and sang for all her parties.  

He branched out to Vegas,

singing at the Riveria and Tropicana.  

He first sang in Palm Springs at the Riveria Hotel in 1967, and played the Top of the Tram

when the tram first opened.

Tony was Jack Kent Cook's favorite to sing

the National Anthem at the Lakers games!

 

Then came Viet Nam,

where he was attached to the 101st Airborne Division. Command found out about his singing career and they moved him into entertaining the troops.

 

Back in the States, married to Robyn, a school teacher.  He  opened an insurance brokerage and the business grew to two  offices and 27 employees.

No singing just business.  Now his family has grown to two sons, a daughter--in-law and a grandson.

 

After his son asked him to sing at his wedding reception his singing career was reborn.

He now sings at The Threesixty every Thursday, American Legion, Sons of Italy

second Wednesday of every month.

He also does private shows in the Desert,

like he is doing tonight in the Canyons Country Club.
